Street Fighter – The Legend that Failed

Posted on June 18, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

So I finally got around to watching Street Fighter – the Legend of Chun Li. I have to say the movie was horribly made and Kristin Kreuk, as hot as she is, wasn’t the best choice for the role. I would’ve picked, I dunno, a chinese girl to play Chun Li, but that’s just me. The story was pretty bad, the acting was barely bearable, and the fighting scenes weren’t on par with what a Street Fighter should be.

The only highlight of the movie was the ever great Robin Shou, or as many people know him Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat. In this movie he played Gen and I have to say that he was probably the only person who matched his character the most. He was probably the only good thing about the movie, since his appearance in the DoA movie and Death Race were disappointments.

So all in all I give this movie a thumbs down and hope that they find someone who can play Ryu well and hope they don’t mess up that Street Fighter movie. So there you go, another look into Chai’s boring life.
